How Men in The 40+ Age Bracket Can Fine Tune Their Fat Loss Journeys
Slow, sluggish body? Can’t lose weight using the same techniques that you used in your 20s and 30s? It’s time to get real and shed the fat the right way. If you’re a man aged 40 plus then it’s time to switch it up. Follow these rules to fine tune your fat loss journey to achieve real results.

It’s time to change your diet

A big breakfast, healthy lunch, and a protein filled dinner been your staple for years? It might be time to change up your eating habits. It’s been said that having more meals across the day with less calories in them is a great way to keep your metabolism healthy, stave off the hunger pangs, and help you in your weight loss journey. Break up your day into five smaller low calorie meals instead of three large ones to kick start weight loss.

Water, water, water

Water helps to break down food in your body. While the old adage “8 glasses of water a day” might have been what you heard in your younger years, we’re now discovering that this just isn’t true for the most part. Most people should aim to drink at least 2, and usually 3 litres of water a day to ensure that their bodies are performing in peak condition.

Make sure you’re getting enough sleep

When we get older we can find our lives being more full and complex than they were before. Often, when we’re pressed for time, one of the things that can suffer is our sleep patterns. While your mate Dave may save that he feels fine on 5 hours of sleep, most people need around 8, and while you can “get used to” less, it simply isn’t healthy. Get into the habit of going to bed and waking up at the same time each day. Don’t be afraid to throw a nap in if you have time and you’re running on low sleep from previous nights.

Add testosterone boosting foods/supplements to your diet

Testosterone is the essential hormone for men of all ages, and we may find our testosterone levels slipping in our later years. You can either add more testosterone boosting foods to your diet, such as steak, eggs, brazil nuts, broccoli, avocado, and asparagus, or consider adding a testosterone supplement to your diet also.

Switch up your exercise

Hitting the gym or the pool three times a week and not seeing results? It may be because you need to change your exercise plan. Mix strength building exercises with weights to cardio activities and rotate to see the best results. This really goes for everyone, no matter what stage of your life you are at! We wish you all the best of luck in your fat loss journey! Read More:
